X-Men ’97 – Season 1, Episode 6
How we feelin’ after last episode? I for one am still a bit shaken, what with the major character death and large scale destruction! But on we must go with “Lifedeath – Part 2,” a sequel to episode 4’s “Lifedeath – Part 1.” It’s also an episode split in two, telling the story of what major characters are doing while a mutant nation burns. And for ease of reading, I’m just gonna separate the stories when summarizing them. Allons-y!

Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Welcome back to 2024: A Star Wars Event. Hey, remember at the beginning of the month when I mentioned that I was eventually going to do some synergy crossposting over on my comic blog, Chwineka Reads? Well, that time has arrived! You can check out the first post about Star Wars #1 (1977) now and expect more to come. I absolutely am going to get sick of Star Wars well before this event is done… And with that positivity, let’s get Revenge of the Sith over with.

Star Wars: Clone Wars – Volume Two
Now we’re getting to the good stuff! Star Wars: Clone Wars–again, not to be confused with Star Wars: The Clone Wars and put a pin in that–Volume Two collects the 5, thirteen minute episodes from season 3. And with a longer runtime compared to Volume One/seasons 1 and 2’s four minute episodes comes a more cohesive story with time to explore the characters. But we can’t forget that this series is meant not just to entertain and sell toys, but connect Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones with Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith,…

Star Wars: Clone Wars – Volume One
Look, when I said I wouldn’t have any more interruptions to covering the Star Wars prequels, all I technically said was I wouldn’t immediately cover more documentaries. Never said anything about an animated series! And really, Star Wars: Clone Wars was designed to tell the story between Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, so covering it now seemed like a good choice. Too bad none of this is canon so it doesn’t actually matter. Oops!

Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002)
So we’ve got this Palpatine guy, right? Upstanding Senator and now Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, but you and I both know he’s also secretly Darth Sidious, dark lord of the Sith and the true enemy of the prequel Star Wars movies. And the original trilogy. And apparently the sequel trilogy, too. But like… what is his plan? I get that he’s consolidating political power and will soon take over the galaxy, but all his Sith shenanigans have me scratching my head. Let’s examine that after I summarize Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.

Centaurworld – Season 2, Episode 8
Well it’s been a minute, hasn’t it? I left a lot of stuff unfinished when I took my hiatus back in January, and finishing up Centaurworld was pretty much the top of that list (mostly because I had a WIP of this post sitting in drafts for months). Well the time has come to wrap this up! Let’s talk about the finale to Centaurworld, and probably the best episode overall.

Centaurworld – Season 2, Episodes 1-7
Normally when I review a TV show, I watch a batch of episodes and write about them before continuing to the next batch. Sure, I may have seen the show before, but gives a feeling that I don’t necessarily know exactly what’s going to happen next. Well, that’s not the case for Centaurworld’s second season. It’s a shorter one with only 8 episodes, but the last one is longer and wraps everything up. And I watched it before I could write my thoughts on the previous 7 episodes. So let me try to sum up my thoughts on the mysteries…

Centaurworld – Season 1, Episodes 1-10
Happy New Year! There’s probably one person out there right now going, “Hey! This isn’t the start of the ‘Festival Orchestrating’ arc for Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Kai, AKA When They Cry: Kai!” Well that potential reader is right–I haven’t finished up Kai, partly because my computer can’t play Blu-ray discs so I’d have to watch it in the cold living room, but also because I’m lazy. But that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been watching things! I’ve got movies lined up, but not as many shows since so many are things I’d want to cover here. But during…

Django (2017)
Django is an unusual name, isn’t it? The only people I knew with that name were characters in westerns–white Django in 1966’s Django and black Django in Django Unchained–or the genetic base for Boba Fett. Yes, I know that one’s actually Jango, but still. Turns out it’s a Romani name, which makes using it for a western hero extra unusual. Why pick that name out of all the ones available? It’s almost like there was some famous person named Django that the filmmakers were referencing, but what are the odds of that?

What If…? – Season 1, Episode 6
You would kind of think that “What If Killmonger Rescued Tony Stark?” would be one of the first episodes of the series, since the first full trailer for the show opened with that moment. But nope! The episode that effectively nullifies the entire MCU comes two-thirds of the way through the first season. Not that I’m complaining, as the first 5 episodes have some really solid entries. But I just really wanted to see more Killmonger, you know?
