Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015)
Okay, enough stalling and asides. I’ve taken what should’ve been a three week project and stretched it out into five. But no more interruptions! I’m just gonna get through all three sequel movies this week. I’m not gonna cut to The Book of Henry to talk about why Mr. Colin Trevorrow lost his Star Wars movie, or something like Brick to argue that Rian Johnson has always been good, actually (although both of those are on my Star Wars-adjacent films list). And considering I haven’t seen these movies since they were in theater, this should be… refreshing? Certainly something.

Battle Beyond the Stars (1980)
So I didn’t expect to cover a “tangentially related to Star Wars” movie so early, but one of my friends brought this to Movie Night and… well, it’s very clearly piggybacking off of the hot 1977 film Star Wars. What, you’ve never heard of Battle Beyond the Stars? Well I certainly hadn’t and I gotta get this post written up before it escapes my brain. At the moment it’s getting pushed out by “I Lost My Heart to a Starship Trooper.”

Hey, remember at the beginning of the month when I mentioned that I was eventually going to do some synergy crossposting over on my comic blog, Chwineka Reads? Well, that time has arrived! Now we’re getting to the good stuff! Star Wars: Clone Wars–again, not to be confused with Star Wars: The Clone Wars and put a pin in that–Volume Two collects the 5, thirteen minute episodes from season 3. And with a longer runtime compared to Volume One/seasons 1 and 2’s four minute episodes comes a more cohesive story with time to explore the characters. Star Wars: Clone Wars – Volume One
Look, when I said I wouldn’t have any more interruptions to covering the Star Wars prequels, all I technically said was I wouldn’t immediately cover more documentaries. Never said anything about an animated series! And really, Star Wars: Clone Wars was designed to tell the story between Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, so covering it now seemed like a good choice. Too bad none of this is canon so it doesn’t actually matter. Oops!

Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002)
So we’ve got this Palpatine guy, right? Upstanding Senator and now Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, but you and I both know he’s also secretly Darth Sidious, dark lord of the Sith and the true enemy of the prequel Star Wars movies. And the original trilogy. And apparently the sequel trilogy, too. But like… what is his plan? I get that he’s consolidating political power and will soon take over the galaxy, but all his Sith shenanigans have me scratching my head. Let’s examine that after I summarize Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.

To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t absolutely sure that I’d be reviewing Return of the Jedi right here. Mr. George Lucas clearly wants people to watch his Star Wars movies in episode order, but I didn’t want to go that route. What If…? – Season 1, Episode 9
So you might notice that I have not ascended to godhood. While I did correctly guess that What If…?’s eighth episode would be titled “What If Ultron Won?” I was wrong about the title of the final episode. It’s actually titled “What If the Watcher Broke His Oath?” which is definitely a better title, so I’ll take that loss. Everything in the first season has been leading up to this moment, as well as something in the second season! Let’s wrap this up!
