Black Christmas (1974)

We're going old school today! While the original Black Christmas was not the first movie involving what we today would refer to as a "slasher" killer (the original The Texas Chain Saw Massacre came out the same year), it helped popularize the horror subgenre. But is this film really about Christmas? Absolutely not. It would've been just as easy to set it during spring break. But it happens right before Christmas, so here we are, talking about it in December. Merry technicality!

Big Man on Campus (1989)

There are two wolves inside of me: The first wolf tells me that if I were to talk about more mainstream and/or recognizable movies, viewer count and interest in in this blog would improve. The other wolf says, "Hey, wasn't it weird that the female lead in Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror was in basically nothing? Well turns out her film debut was in a thing called Big Man on Campus where a hunchback goes to college. That sounds weird!" I think by this point we know which wolf I feed, even to my detriment.

So Undercover (2012)

This post is not sponsored by Tubi, but I am gonna gush about them for a bit. Sorry, but’s a site with a bunch of movies you can watch for free! Sure there are ads, but uBlock Origin beats that shit down pretty well. And the movies come in a variety of flavors, from “That was pretty good,” to “Wait, they made a movie with THAT premise?!” And on that note, let’s talk about So Undercover, a film where Ms. Miley Cyrus infiltrates a sorority under orders from the FBI.
