Hi! It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? I think it’s fairly safe to say that 2024: A Star Wars Event didn’t turn out the way I had hoped. I could offer a number of believable excuses–I started a new job that has me waking up at 5AM, we’re finalizing a move, etc.–but the honest truth is Star Wars just didn’t capture my attention like I had hoped, mixed with some real bad work ethic towards this blog. I vow to finish season 1 of Andor before the end of the year, but the rest really depends on how things look after October (more on that later). And honestly, I may just have to rename the event.
Hey, speaking of titles, isn’t “Chwineka Watches” kind of an awkward name? I mean, do you know how to pronounce “Chwineka?” Or how to spell it without looking? Sure, it’s my online name, but I feel like it’s become an albatross around the blog’s neck. So I’ve been giving serious thought to rebranding, or at least renaming the blog to something that–at the core–is easier to remember and share with people. But that’s a 2025 thing, so no huge change yet.
But 2024’s not over yet! There’s still a few months, including the spookiest month of all… November with Christmas music hitting the airwaves earlier and earlier each year! And also October. That one too. Every year I’ve have a horror-themed event in time for Halloween and even with me being a lazy sack of shit, I refuse to let this be the year I let this tradition fall by the wayside. So get ready for Paranormal Octoberty, starting this Wednesday! It’s going to be a good bad time, for sure!
